PhoneTest.App Privacy Policy

Who we are
PhoneTest.App is an app from Phones.Trade that checks the condition of an iPhone and produces a report. Contact: sales@phones.trade.
What data we collect and why
Only so the app can work; we do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
- Phone test results (sensors, battery, screen, cameras, network…): to produce the report.
- Phone identifiers: model, iOS version, IMEI and an identifier of the app installation. The full IMEI is stored; the public report shows only its last 4 digits.
- Photos and videos you take during the tests (including the front camera) and in the cosmetic grading: they are part of the report.
- Location: precise location only in the GPS test; the IP address is seen by our server in the network test. They are stored in the report and never shown on the public page.
- Phones.Trade account, if you link it with the QR code: your user identifier, to attribute the tests to you.
- A customer’s name and phone number, only if you decide to send them the report by SMS.
- Bug report form: the text you write and, if you attach it, a video.
Face data (TrueDepth camera)
In the Face ID test, if Face ID is not set up or is not available to the app, we use the TrueDepth camera to check that it works. The app only learns whether the system detects a face (yes or no). It does not read the shape of your face, depth data or images from that test; it does not collect, store, send or share face data, and it never accesses your biometric data. If Face ID or Touch ID does work, the app only receives “success” or “failure” from the system. The microphone measures the tones of the sound test on the phone itself: no audio is recorded or sent.
The website (phonetest.app)
If you create an account with Get started, we keep your Google account’s name, e-mail and photo, the name and WhatsApp phone number you enter and your organization’s name in your Phones.Trade account, and your answers about your business (its type and phones a month) in PhoneTest, to give you PhoneTest for Mac and to contact you about it. The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare, our hosting and storage provider.
- If you send the report by SMS, the customer’s name and phone number are sent to our messaging provider only to deliver that message.
- Phones.Trade, if you link your account: your organization sees your reports.
- Whoever receives the link of a report you share sees its results and photos, without your name, phone number, location or IP address.
Tracking
We do not track people, we do not show ads and we do not share data with data brokers.
Retention and deletion
We keep reports and their photos for as long as the service exists. You can ask us to delete your data by writing to sales@phones.trade; we handle it as soon as possible. Shared links do not expire, and whoever created one can revoke it from the app.
Security
Connections are encrypted and the app proves its identity to our server with Apple’s attestation.
Changes
We will publish any change here.
Política de privacidad de PhoneTest.App

Quiénes somos
PhoneTest.
